We've seen a lot of bad file converters, and we must admit that when it came time to download Leawo FLV Converter, we were in no mood to test drive yet another one. Much to our relief, Leawo FLV Converter was a breath of fresh air: well designed, easy to use, and full of features. Hooray!

The program's interface is sleek and intuitive, and we had no trouble getting started. We liked that the application supports batch processing and that it includes a small viewer for previewing files. What impressed us most, however, was the huge variety of output file types that it offers. Although the only source format it can handle is FLV, these files can be converted into just about any video or audio format you can name, including formats for mobile devices and gaming systems. The program's interface does an especially nice job of organizing all of these options and even offers brief descriptions of each format. Most importantly (and unlike a lot of other file converters we've seen), Leawo FLV Converter actually converts files effectively, without distorting or shortening them. The program's built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, with plenty of screenshots. Although some users may want a file converter that can handle more than just one type of source file, those looking for a tool that specializes in FLV files won't find one more comprehensive than this.

Leawo FLV Converter is free to try, but the trial version puts a watermark on the program's output. The program installs politely but leaves a folder and Start menu item behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.

No customer support at all.

Avoid this product and this company at all costs. The Leawo website claims customer support and phone support which are non-existent and forums which are either empty or full of customer questions with no Leawo answers. I purchased the Leawo Blu-ray Creator to add to my suite of Blu-ray burning software as it seemed to come highly rated. But within hours of purchasing the software I discovered that there is no display of how much space the converted video required to burn which meant burning blind and taking the chance that my project would not fit and my BD-R would be wasted. After several attempts using extremely small video files it turned out everything I burned was unplayable. I used all the same hardware as I do with all other Blu-ray burning programs - all of which continue to work - but the Leawo program continued to put out unplayable discs. That's when I discovered that the link for phone support on the Leawo site links to an email contact page as does the support link. The emails I received - all seven of them - only asked why I didn't use their trial version first. None of them would address my issue or attempt to help me with them. I opened a complaint against them with Paypal hoping to get a more helpful response but it was the same. Avoid this program and this company at all costs. Before purchasing any software check the links on support and look at the companies internal forums and faq's. I made the mistake of not doing that with Leawo but you don't have to.

Don't know, haven't used it since it prompted me to purchase and register.
Cons
Advertised as FREE, installed and it prompted me to buy a license. Not in Windows ADD/Remove programs menu, can't find help.
Summary
Why is it so easy to find these programs but can't get help when they don't work right. Signed up for their forum and never receive a confirmation email to be able to access their support forums.
I hope you didn't review the version I was looking at.

It didn't erase everything on my hard-drive so that is always a positive.

Application crashed 3 minutes after I selected "Try" button. It is NOT free
Summary
I downloaded this application because it came up first in the "Editor's Rating". That is usually how I sort things I am looking for after I have filtered down to what I want. Unfortunately whoever reviewed this product must have been feeling mighty generous to give out almost 5 stars to it. It could be that the version that was reviewed and the version that is there now are two different ones, but if they are not, you may want to reexamine this application.

I didn't bother trying to convert with this software. It's not free. It tries to sneak in additional software during the install. It tries to access the internet multiple times through multiple processes. I DO NOT TRUST THIS SOFTWARE AT ALL

Absolutely nothing.
Cons
1. It has adware. AVAST sounds alarm during download and during installation. 2. Despite the adware alarms, I tried anyway. Turned out it's not a working copy. It stops working at the last step when you click the button to convert.
Summary
This is not even a demoware. It's junk. Don't waste your time.

I always need to convert a youtube video for class, some online converter can't work well all the time, so I choose this one and have a try, it converts flv speedily, and it also takes a downloader, I can't find easier downloader than this any more
