Yeah, to each his own. But I don't get it. When I was young every guy wanted more hair... and boxers were only worn by old men!
Times change over the years.....
This reminds me of the guy who lived in the house nextdoor to me in grad school: "Yeah, I've enforced a strict 'NO PANTS' policy on our side. You don't have to wear underwear, but you absolutely can't wear pants."
My roommates weren't so keen -- maybe because they lived with a gay guy. They would frequently de-robe when they hung out next door, though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Time is a circle: Many "younger" guys do wear briefs and don't really bother with shaving. A lot of "older" guys I've seen are the opposite. At this point, I think it may be less to do with age and learned patterns from family/friends or else other men they've seen elsewhere.
It does amuse me to see men act so prissy about facial hair, and then remove the hair from the rest of their bodies. They always look like topiary
Mix a team of ruggers with lots of beer, and you always get great ideas for team building...
